Poor People Saved
Role of Volunteer Co-ordinator
There are 24 active Trained and Experienced Volunteers who currently support the project with office duties by covering the main desk answering the telephone, taking messages, signposting, befriending, or arranging to make home visits or accompanying clients to their appointments.
The Volunteer befriender provides emotional support by listening to the client’s problem and helping the women to work through difficult issues or when they need to express concerns and anxieties.
The staff and Volunteers speak various Asian languages, including Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Gujrati.
